Yemeni Sheikh accuses Saudi Arabia of trying to assassinate him

Yemeni tribal leader Sheikh Muhammad Bin Shaje, whose house was targeted by a car bomb on Tuesday accused Saudi Arabia of trying to kill him.

Sheikh Bin Shaje said on Wednesday that Saudi Arabia stands behind the explosion of the booby trapped car which targeted him and his family.

He added that Saudi Arabia had sent "mercenary elements" to carry out this criminal act against him after the scale of differences had been widened between him and Saudi officials on solving the border dispute.

He added that he "refuses bargaining on any inch of his country's borders with Saudi Arabia."

Meanwhile, an official source at the Yemeni Ministry of the Interior said that this aggression targeted Bin Shaje's house, which is located near the German embassy in Sanaa and the house of the World Bank representative.

The Yemeni Ministry of the Interior is opening an investigation to arrest the attackers.
