Annan resumes north Africa tour on november 30
United Nations Secretary-General, Kofi Annan, will return to North Africa to resume his tour in the region, cut short due to the recent U.N.-Iraq crisis, the secretary-general's spokesman announced on Thursday.
"He will first visit Tindouf (south-western Algeria and stronghold of the Polisario) on November 30, before heading to Algeria, where he will have an official schedule on December 1 and 2," the spokesman said.
Annan will then fly to Tunisia for an official visit on December 3-4.
Before resuming the tour, the secretary-general will attend the French-African summit, to be held on November 27-28 in Paris.
