Algerian embassy denies that it refused to deliver entry visa to Moroccan journalists
The Algerian embassy in Morocco denied Thursday that it refused to deliver entry visas to Moroccan journalists wishing to go to Algeria to cover UN secretary general's visit.
The Algerian embassy was reacting to contents of MAP reports on Annan's press conference in Laayoun, Morocco.
Asked to comment on the Algerian authorities' refusal to give entry visas to Moroccan journalists to cover his visit in Algeria, Annan said he is "disappointed," adding he will bring up the issue with Algerian authorities.
The Algerian embassy said it "deeply regrets" the publication of such "unfounded information" and flatly denied having refused to any journalist wishing to cover Annan's visit in Algeria an entry visa.
