OIC holds Israel responsible for region's problems

Organization of the Islamic Conference Secretary-General Ezzeddine Laraqi stated that Israel was behind the crisis which recently erupted between Syria and Turkey, adding that Israel is the heart of all problems in the Middle East.

In a statement to the Saudi daily al-Madina issued on Wednesday, Laraqi added: "When we analyze conditions or political, economic and humanitarian aspects, we eventually reach the conclusion that Israel has always been behind the catastrophe which affects Arabs and Muslims, therefore it is held responsible for what is taking place in the region."

Laraqi added that Israel carries out provocative operations against Islamic states in order to sew discord among the OIC member states.
