Saudi defense minister: Netanyahu is not trustworthy

Originally published

Saudi Arabia's second deputy prime minister and defense minister, Prince Sultan Bin Abdul Aziz, has asserted the need to settle Saudi-Yemeni border disputes amicably.

He stated that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is "not a trustworthy man." The Saudi minister asserted the need to achieve Arab solidarity.

On Wednesday the Saudi minister together with his Egyptian counterpart Lt Gen. Hussein Tantawi held a naval tour and inspected new tourism establishments in the Red Sea region.

Replying to a question asked by the London-based al-Hayat daily on his comment on Israel's postponement of implementing Wye Plantation agreement, Prince Sultan said, "Netanyahu is not a confidential person."

On statements made by Yemeni Foreign Minister Abdul Qader Bajmal concerning his country's resort to arbitration as a solution to border disputes with Saudi Arabia, Prince Sultan said Bajmal "is free to express himself. We will discuss this matter with the Yemenis with amity."
