Iraq seeks to restore its war planes from Iran

Iraq announced its intention yesterday to send a number of engineers to Iran for evaluation of the technical state of the Iraqi planes sent to Tehran during the Gulf War in 1991, which is a preliminary step in restoring them.

Iraqi Minister of Transportation Mortada Ahmed confirmed that he has no information about the civil planes in Iran, yet he referred to Iraqi airplanes existing in a number of other Arab states, such as Jordan and Tunisia.
