80 Coptics lodge claim against Sunday Telegraph
By the authorization of a lawyer, about 80 Coptics lodged a compensation claim against the British newspaper Sunday Telegraph for publishing false news on the persecution of Coptics in Egypt.
The claim demanded the amount of $17 billion as compensation for the spiritual and material harm done to Egyptian Coptics and Christians.
In his claim, lawyer Mustafa Ashoub alleged that the aim of the British newspaper is to lie to shake the stability of the nation, beside creating riots and grudges among its people.
The court of south Cairo will examine the case on December 3, 1998.
