Aid organizations call on UN to end civil war in southern Sudan
Four aid organizations working in southern Sudan called on the UN to end the civil war and the humanitarian crisis there.
The aid agencies said that at least 1.5 million persons died during the first ten years of the civil war in Sudan and 2.5 million persons are currently exposed to the danger posed by famine.
An informed source in one of the aid organizations said that all the agencies fear new clashes in the regions affected by famine and feel upset that no efforts are exerted to establish peace.
The groups said this crisis has been aggravated due to the political vacuum in the region.
