US - Kuwaiti maneuvers

Military maneuvers began yesterday between Kuwaiti and US troops in the El-Adidah region of northern Kuwait, 20 miles from the Iraqi border.

Kuwaiti official sources said these training exercises are currently taking place within the defense agreement between the two countries, promoting cooperation between the US and Kuwaiti armed forces and activating their abilities for quick deployment.

US armor and the infantry forces are currently training in Kuwait since last August until mid-December and will take part in military training known as Intrinsic Action 98.
