Saudi crown prince: Arabs will not give up a grain of their rights

Originally published

Saudi Crown Prince Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz has held Israel responsible for obstructing the Middle East peace process due to "its intransigent stances."

The Gulf News Agency quoted the Saudi crown prince as saying on Thursday upon receiving the Ambassadors of Arab and Islamic states accredited in Tokyo that the Arabs had asserted that peace is their strategic option.

He added: "Yet, Israel refuses now to abide by the bases from which the Middle East peace process was built."

The Saudi crown prince explained that the Arab people are peace-lovers and have been waiting for peace for 50 years (since Israel was established in 1948). He asserted that if the Middle East peace process fails because of Israel's positions, the Arabs will not give up a grain of their "legitimate rights."

SANA reported that Crown Prince Abdullah described his visits to Britain, France, the US, China and Japan as successful. He added that his talks with officials in the countries centered on the peace process and its Syrian, Palestinian and Lebanese tracks.
