Strong disagreement between Egyptian government and opposition on economic liberalization law
Strong disagreement between the Egyptian government and opposition parties appeared after the opposition came out against the new draft law concerning economic liberalization policies.
A symposium about the new draft law viewed a strong debate, with representatives of the opposition parties accusing the draft law, which aims at liberating business relations to keep up with the economic changes Egypt is undergoing, of being partial to the interests of business owners at the expense of labor.
Minister of Manpower Ahmed Amawi said that representatives of businessmen, labor and industrial unions agreed on the draft law, which achieves a balance between the conflicted parties, and they pledged to cooperate with the government concerning the draft law.
