Sudanese president: Political party law aims at achieving national reconciliation

Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir told the Sudanese National Council yesterday that his government seeks to achieve comprehensive peace and national reconciliation.

He said that issuing the new political party law assures the government's direction toward achieving this aim. Bashir said that the hostile stances of the countries against his government become more positive after the American attack in August on the El-Shifaa pharmaceutical factory.

In his address, he directed a severe attack against the U.S., saying "its hatred for Sudan has become obvious and public."
