The Israeli occupation forces in south Lebanon on Wednesday continued their attacks against areas and towns adjacent to the occupied area, especially inside the central sector.

Lebanese security sources said that Israeli heavy artillery bombarded the Litani river area, al-Hamra farm and al-Hajir valley. The Israeli attacks resulted in damage to property and agricultural land.

Israeli warplanes carried out provocative raids at low altitude over the central and western sectors.

Meanwhile, the Lebanese resistance attacked a pro-Israeli militia group in the central sector of occupied south Lebanon. In a statement, the resistance said that one of its groups ambushed the pro-Israeli South Lebanon Army militia group and opened fire. Direct hits were achieved, the statement said.

Another Lebanese resistance group attacked, using heavy machine-guns and rockets, the Israeli and SLA position in al-Sala'a.

The resistance statement added that a 15-minute clash erupted between the resistance men and the occupation soldiers. A number of militia members were killed or wounded, and the main fortifications of the position were destroyed, the statement said.

Further, reports from south Lebanon added that Lebanese resistance forces attacked Israeli vehicles traveling in al-Ahmadeyah in the western Bekaa and Sujoud.
