Forum on Moroccan capital market and investment in Casablanca
A two-day forum on the Moroccan capital market and investment "changes at home, challenges abroad" is to be held next week in Casablanca.
The event, organized by the British "Euromoney" institution, will debate Morocco's political-economic perspectives, its role in the region, the investment opportunities it offers, and its privatization program.
Infrastructure projects will also be discussed as infrastructure development will continue to attract large amounts of foreign investment to the power, telecom and water sectors.
Euromoney said in the forum announcement that 1998 is expected to further enhance Morocco as one of the region's most promising emerging markets. A healthy business environment will also see further investment by some of the world's leading multinationals. With the Government likely to tap the international capital markets and the privatization of key institutions, the way will be open for an ever-growing number of corporations keen to access international funds.
The conference will highlight the benefits and opportunities of business, trade and investment in Morocco. The event will generate a greater understanding of the developments and changes taking place in the country, Euromoney said.
The conference, to start proceeding on October 29, will be opened by Moroccan Prime Minister Abderrahmane youssoufi.
