Tunisian budget at $8.8 billion in the coming year

The Tunisian government agreed yesterday on the general budget project for the year 1999 with total expenditures of $8.88 billion, a 6% increase over expenditures during 1998.

Official sources in the Tunisian government said that the state's resources will acount for nearly two thirds of the expenditures, while the remaining third will come from loans whose sources were not specified.
