Syrian Mufti calls for an Islamic summit

The Mufti of Syria (highest ranking clergy) Sheikh Ahmed Keftaro and the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) called for convening an urgent summit to confronting the Turkish - Israeli military alliance.

In a statement Keftaro told ArabicNews.com today that he called on the OIC to call the leaders of Islamic countries together for an urgent summit conference to unite against the threat and invasion resulting from the Turkish -Israeli military alliance.

He also called the Islamic countries to enact a comprehensive economic boycott against any country that attacks an Islamic country and to stand together with the attacked country, spiritually, military and materially.

Keftaro said he believes the plan aims at getting Syria, Iran and the rest of Islamic countries out of their struggle with Israel.
