Syrian Golan citizens denounce Turkish threats against Syria

The Syrian people in the occupied Syrian Golan Heights have denounced the Turkish threats against Syria, and condemned the Turkish - Israeli alliance which only "serves Israel and encourages it to persist its intransigent and anti-peace policy."

In a statement issued on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the October 6 war, the Syrian people of the Golan called upon the Arab states to move immediately to confront the Turkish threats, stressing that these threats will not benefit Syria or Turkey.

The statement also called upon the countries of the world as well as peace-loving forces to exert more efforts to prevent any military actions in the region, due to their grave impact on peace, security and stability in the region.

The statement asserted that the "unjustified Turkish campaign" against Syria reveals a new Israeli plan which aims at undermining Syria's steadfastness in defense of usurped Arab rights, SANA reported.
