Khartoum suspends aid to the south

The spokeswoman for the relief operation sponsored by the UN in Sudan said that the Sudanese government on Thursday imposed a comprehensive embargo on aid flights to the southern part of the country, adding that the Sudanese government did not give details. Meanwhile, Sudanese Minister of Interior Lt. Gen. Abdul Rahim Muhammad Hussein said that the Sudanese army achieved victory in the battle started in the middle of September against the rebels of the Sudanese People's Liberation Army in the southern part of the country.
