El-Baz says no security as long as Israel possesses nuclear weapons

In press statements yesterday, the political advisor of Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, Osama El-Baz, confirmed that the security and stability of Arab states will not be achieved as long as Israel possess nuclear weapons, adding that Israel cannot upgrade its chemical weapons to use in defending its sovereignty.

El-Baz criticized Israel's allegations of being exposed to annihilation by the Arab states. He added that the Israeli conflict is not strife over borders or existence but strife over rights, and peace is the sole outlet from this closed impasse of Arab - Israeli strife.

El-Baz added that Egypt has a strong army which is one of the essentials of Arab national security.
