American aviation federation recognizes Moroccan carrier maintenance performance
Morocco's air company, Royal Air Maroc, has received a distinction from the American Aviation Federation for its maintenance performance.
According to RAM general manager Mohamed Hassad, the US federation's distinction upgrades the Moroccan company's standards and recognizes RAM's industrial center as entitled to carry out maintenance on US-registered aircraft.
This distinction will open new opportunities to the Moroccan company, which has engaged in a new process to gain international recognition for its maintenance operations.
RAM received in May 1997 the ISO 200 certification and five months later the "JAR 145" distinction for its maintenance activities.
RAM's general manager added that his company is planning to consolidate and upgrade its achievements by carrying on its modernization process to match international standards of safety and quality.
