Israeli troops continue attacks on south Lebanon
Israeli occupation forces on Thursday continued their bombardment of areas adjacent to the occupied part of south Lebanon, using machine guns and rocket fire. In retaliation, Lebanese resistance forces attacked the Israeli position in al-Jamouseyah. Direct hits were achieved.
News reports from south Lebanon said that Israeli naval forces intercepted on Thursday afternoon a trade ship loaded with cars off al-Kharab suburb in Tyre. The ship was inspected for half an hour before it was permitted to leave to the port of the city.
Earlier, Israeli occupation forces from positions in al-Hardoun and Balat in the western sector carried out mopping-up operations against the outskirts of Majdal Zoun, al-Mansouri, and Zibqin, while two Israeli helicopters were flying in the region's airspace.
The Israeli attacks coincided with armored vehicle movements in the Israeli occupation positions in al-Hardoun, al-Rajmin and Teir Harfa.
The occupation forces, on the other hand, are building a new position, facing the entrance of Markaba town, near a UNIFIL position.
Meanwhile, the Lebanese resistance on Thursday night attacked the Israeli occupation position in al-Jamousieh in the central sector of south Lebanon. In a statement, the resistance said its fighters attacked enemy movements in the position and direct hits were achieved.
