Last September, the "MED" committee approved the project that the government included as one of its top priorities. The project aims at generalizing schooling in rural world, fight against illiteracy and improve the quality of basic and secondary education.

The project will be carried out initially in eight provinces before being extended to other region. It consists of building schools, housing for teachers, school restaurants, game areas and other facilities.

Some 2.5 million Moroccan children in schooling age were unable to go to school this year or go back to school.
