Yassin: Israel plans to assassinate Hamas leaders

Leader of the Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas Sheikh Ahmad Yassin has asserted that there is an Israeli-US scheme to assassinate leaders of the Hamas movement and to liquidate Palestinian faction members who oppose the Oslo agreement.

In a statement to the Algerian daily "Sawt al-Ahrar" (voice of the liberals) on Thursday, Sheikh Yassin added that the killing two of Hamas leaders -- in reference to Israel's killing of the Awadallah brothers -- was but the beginning of implementing this criminal scheme.
