Hamas spiritual leader: Movement will not stand still before Israeli attacks

Palestinian Hamas movement founder Sheikh Ahmed Yassin said the movement would not stand still before Israeli attacks on Hamas and the killings of its leaders.

He warned that Israel would pay a high price for its killing of the two leaders of the military wing of the Hamas movement in the West Bank city of Hebron. In a phone call, Sheikh Yassin said that Israel will bear the responsibility for killing brothers Imad and Adel Awadallah, leaders in the military wing of Hamas.

Sheikh Yassin said Hamas is determined to defend itself, as it is the right of anybody to defend himself. He said Israel "seized our lands, took our freedom, kidnapped our children, girls, killed our sons, and so we will resist by all our power until the holy places are returned and a Palestinian state is established on our land."

At the end, he said that the Hamas military wing is going to specify the methods of taking revenge for the killing of the two brothers.
