France denounces Israeli siege of Palestinian towns, villages

The French Foreign Ministry yesterday denounced the Israeli military siege imposed on the Palestinian cities and villages.

Spokeswoman for the French Foreign Ministry said that measures providing for imposing sanctions would not meet their objectives. The French spokeswoman expressed France's hope to lift the siege promptly, especially as it comes at a time when efforts are being exerted to reach an accord between Israel and the Palestinian government, Monte Carlo radio reported.
