Originally published

Israeli occupation forces on Monday bombarded, using heavy artillery al-Rafe mountain and Sujoud al-Rayhan woods in south Lebanon. News reports from south Lebanon said the occupation artillery on Sunday night shelled Aqmata farm and al-Tuffah district.

The Israeli troops bombarded areas in the central sector of south Lebanon. Israeli troops used internationally-banned phosphorus bombs in their attack. Lebanese security sources said the Israeli artillery shelled the towns of al-Hamra, Yahmous and Arnon. Fires broke out in al-Hamra farm.

The Israeli attacks were carried out in coordination with mopping-up operations and heavy machine-gun fire.

Meanwhile, the Lebanese resistance attacked a position of the Israeli occupation forces in Sujoud inside the occupied part of south Lebanon. In a statement the resistance said its men used rocket fire in the attacks. Direct hits were scored on the position's fortifications.
