Originally published

The 11th Islamic unity conference which concluded its deliberations in Tehran denounced attempts made to normalize relations with Israel as well as all forms of cooperation with Israel.

In a statement circulated in Tehran on Monday, the conference called upon the Islamic nation to shoulder its responsibility toward Islamic shrines in occupied Jerusalem, foremost being al-Aqsa mosque. It viewed the recent Israeli measures to change the demographic features of the city and Judaize it as grave aggressions against Islamic holy sites.

The participants in the conference voiced firm support for the Palestinian people to restore their usurped rights and lands. They asserted the importance of setting up groups that bring about views between all Islamic sects in various Muslim countries to strengthen basics for maintaining the unity of Islam.
