Killings continue in Algeria

The Algerian daily Sawt al-Ahrar (voice of the liberals) said today that one citizen was killed following a mine explosion in al-Medea province. Meanwhile, al-Aseel daily noted that another bomb was detonated on Monday morning in Um al-Bawaqi province, killing one person and wound two others tthe report said.

The paper added that an armed group on Sunday attacked a farm in Tayart province and kidnapped four peasants. Meanwhile, Algerian security forces killed two gunmen from the Armed Islamic Group in the Bani Mahboub district of Jejil province.
