Some 18 Algerian gunmen killed by policemen

Algerian security forces killed some 18 gunmen during mopping-up operations carried out in Teizi Ozo and Mu'askar provinces and confiscated huge quantities of weapons. Algerian dailies issued today said that an armed group on Sunday kidnapped four citizens in Ein al-Hadid district in Teyart province.

Meanwhile, a bomb was set off while an Algerian security forces car passed by in the al-Hawd district of Tebsa province, killing one policeman and two members of the municipal guard.
