Deputies Council session to discuss deterioration of Yemeni security
The Yemeni Council of Deputies is holding a session to discuss the security situation and increased number of kidnappings taking place in Yemen, calling on the government to attend the session.
The Yemeni authorities rejected a request presented by the British embassy in Sanaa to negotiate with the kidnappers of three members of a British faimly directly, but it responsed to not using force to liberate the hostages who were detained by an armed group from the Beni Zabina tribe two weeks ago.
The Yemeni forces backed off the implementation of a previous agreement set up by the security forces to free the three Britons.
The council of deputies authorized the security and defense committee in the parliament to submit an investigative report about the security breaches to the government.
