Syria - Iraq relations continue to improve

Iraqi Minister of Justice Shabib al-Malki met with his Syrian counterpart, Hussien Hassun, yesterday in Damascus.

Malki delivered a communique from Iraqi President Saddam Hussien to Syrian President Hafez al-Assad, which is the second message in two months between the two countries.

The message included thanks for President Hafez al-Assad for his efforts during the recent Iraqi crisis, and the Syrian role in solving it politically.
