Mubarak confers with AL secretary

Originally published

President Hosni Mubarak of Egypt on Monday at Sharm el-Sheikh received Arab League Secretary General Esmat Abdul Meguid, who presented a report on results of the 109th session of Arab foreign ministers, held last week at AL headquarters.

In a statement following the meeting, Abdul Meguid said talks dealt with the peace process and the impasse it has reached. He stressed full coordination between the AL and the Arab foreign ministers concerning peace developments.

He said he hopes the US will apply pressure on Israel to find an outlet for the grave situation the peace process witnesses.
