- During the meeting of Arab Labor Union in Luxor, Fadel Gharib, the head of Iraq's labor union, praised Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak's efforts to solve the crisis peacefully and avoid a military strike. - Bahraini defense Minister Sheikh Khaleifa Bin Ahmad al-Khaleifa on Sunday met with the British Chief of Staff and members of his accompanying delegation. - Qatar's ruler, Sheikh Hamad Bin Khaleifa al-Thani on Sunday phoned Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi to congratulate him on the decision of the International Court of Justice to decide on the Lockerbie crisis.The Qatari News Agency said Sheikh Hamad hoped the embargo imposed on the people of Libya will be lifted. - Jordan celebrated the 42nd anniversary of Arabization of the commander of the Jordanian armed forces. In 1956 King Hussein of Jordan relieved British General Glob Pasha from his post as army commander and appointed a Jordanian officer to lead the army. Go
