Stray bullet wound kills wife

A female in Asyut died in hospital yesterday after being accidentally shot with her husband's rifle, police source said.

They said that Nafissa Abdlaal, 30, died of a gunshot wound shortly after her arrival to the Asyut general hospital and a preliminary probe had revealed that the accident occurred when she was standing in front of her husband while he was clearing his gun.

"A bullet was fired by accident and hit the victim in the chest," a police report said.
