Dr. Hashem Yemani, Saudi minister of industry and electricity, who opened the fair with Egyptian Minister of Trade and Supply Dr. Ahmed Gowiely, said, "The exhibition mirrors the time-honored Saudi-Egyptian relations."

The fair offers excellent opportunities for Saudi companies and factories exporting their products to explore the market further, he added.

Dr. Goweli said he hoped that the exhibition would mark the start of a series of Saudi exhibitions in Egypt, and highlighted the facilities offered to Saudi exhibitions in Egypt under the agreement signed by the two countries in 1992, Al Ahram El Ektsadi weekly said today.
