British Week in Cairo to increase the volume of commercial exchange
British Overseas Trade Board Sir Martin Laing, the head of the British Overseas Trade Board, will arrive in Cairo next Sunday as heading a high level British commercial delegation to participate in the activities of British Week in Cairo between November 23-27 and in Alexandria on November 30 - December 2.
A senior official in the British embassy said that organizing British Week in Egypt is within the frame of the United Kingdom's interest in promoting and extending bilateral relations with Egypt in different fields, especially in economic, commercial and investing fields.
He added that the British Week activities, in which more than 50 British companies will participate, include meetings for businessmen from both countries. Volume between the two countries increased in the first three months of the current year to reach 251 million pounds sterling.
Many indications suggest that the current year will witness a significant increase in the volume of commercial exchange between the two countries.
