Palestinian demonstrations support Saddam Hussein
Hundreds of Palestinians demonstrated in the Gaza Strip, expressing their support for Iraq. They repeated slogans insulting Israel and the USA and called on the Iraqi President to pound Tel Aviv with missiles.
The demonstrators requested that the embargo imposed on Iraq be lifted in order to give it the opportunity to live and enjoy its riches like the rest of the world. They called on the Security Council to reject US pressures and to start solving the world's problems through peaceful means.
The commander of the Israeli Air Force, General Etien Bin Eliaho, ruled out the possibility that Iraq still possesses dangerous missiles and the pads to launch them after seven years of searching operations by the UN missions for weapons of mass destruction. Iraq had attacked Israel with 39 missiles during the Gulf War.
