Israel strikes again

Originally published

Israeli attacks escalated in the South yesterday, as the monitoring committee prepares to meet in Naqoura. The monitoring committee is meeting today to examine two Lebanese complaints concerning attacks on Ain-Buswar and explosions in Nabatieh. Four roadside bombs with Hebrew markings had exploded, last Saturday, in the Nabatieh neighborhood, wounding a shepherd and killing 35 of his sheep.

Israel shelled the areas of Lueizy, Mita and Mazraat-Okmata in the morning and extended the attack to Hdata, Haris, Sarbin and Wadi-Yater in the afternoon.

In a related matter, "The Resistance has the right to face its Israeli enemies within the framework of the April agreements", a former French foreign minister said yesterday. Herver De Charette made the statement after paying homage to the martyrs of Qana. De Charette also met with speaker Nabih Berri in Ein-El-Tineh.
