Toying with dad's gun

An 8-year-old girl died instantly yesterday after being accidentally shot in the head when her elder brother was tempering with his father's rifle, a police source in Beni-Suief said.

The girl was killed when she was playing in her parents' bedroom while her 10-year-old brother, Hamada, was playing with their Dad's loaded rifle, which he had taken out from the wardrobe.

"Hamada pointed the towards Zainah's [the girl's] head and unintentionally pulled the trigger. A single shot came out from the rifle's barrel killed her immediately," the same source, quoting an official report about the accident, said, Al Gomhoria daily said today.
