Antonovitch in Lebanon

Belarus Foreign Minister Ivan Antonovitch met with his Lebanese colleague Fares Boueiz yesterday in the Bustros palace, as part of his three-day visit to Lebanon. The ministers discussed the situation in the Middle East and the two countries' bilateral economical and political ties.

After the meeting, Boueiz stated that Belarus is adopting a new policy that coincides with the political schemes of the Arab countries. Antonovitch said that his country opposes military operations and encourages a peaceful solution to problems. He will be visiting the president, the speaker and the prime minister today.
