Man tries to sell new-born baby

Security men have arrested in Kuwait on October 29 a Sri Lankan man as he sold a new-born child to another person. Al Watan Kuwaiti daily said that the local police had referred the man to the general prosecution for a deeper investigation.

A preliminary investigation indicated that the man was trying to find buyers for a new-born baby, less than a month old. The man finished his deal with a prospective buyer and agreed to sell the baby for 150 Kuwaiti dinar the paper reported.

The investigation revealed that the baby was a love-child born to two of his Asian friends.
