A.L. stand on Doha conference to be announced

Originally published

Arab League Secretary General Ismat Abdul Maguid said the AL stand towards the Doha economic conference will be defined within the coming two weeks.

In a statement he made following opening the headquarters of the Arab Organization for Industrial Development in Cairo on October 27, Abdul Maguid said that during last month's meeting of Arab foreign ministers, a consensus was reached on the importance of achieving a substantial progress in the Middle East peace process, so that all Arab countries take part in the proposed conference.

Meanwhile in Manama, the Bahraini capital, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry said it had decided to boycott the Doha economic conference due to Israel's participation and since Israel continues to occupy Arab lands and not giving any help in the Middle East peace process to end the violent situation in the region.
