Jordanian-Palestinian transactions decrease because of Israeli obstacles

Originally published

The volume of external trade between Jordan and the Palestinian Authority reached 50 million dinars during the first half of the current year, 47 million of which is the value of Jordanian imports from Palestine while Jordanian exports to Palestine are valued at 3 million.

Jordanian sources mentioned that the Jordanian imports from the Palestinian Authority are mainly fruits, soap, stone, marble, honey, and acids. The exports are household and office furniture and raw materials necessary for Palestinian industries.

Israel is still putting obstacles in the way of external trade between Jordan and the Palestinian Authority. These obstacles obstruct the external trade of strategic commodities like Jordanian cement.
