Albright to attend MENA conference
The US State Department said Secretary of State Madeleine Albright plans to attend the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) conference, supposed to be convened in Doha-Qatar next November.
Albright intends to head a US delegation to attend the important event in the region. She wants to give a push to the conference after some Arab countries had expressed their desire to sever the whole matter. Saudi Arabia has announced that it will not attend, and Qatar is thinking of canceling the conference.
If the MENA conference fails, this will be a great loss to the United States and Israel in particular. The US claims the Arab countries should cooperate economically, regardless of any conflicts with Israel, because the latter is "such a big economy" in the Middle East and North Africa and this is the reason why the Arab countries should enhance relations with Israel.
