Israel murders, maims more Palestinians
The Israeli occupation army today killed two Palestinians in the Gaza Strip when Israeli attack helicopters fired several missiles at them while they were riding in their car in the central Gaza Strip.
Police sources said an Israeli helicopter gunship fired a number of hell-fire missiles on two cars traveling from Dir al Balah to al-Zawaydeh south of Gaza city, destroying the two cars and critically injuring two people.
Israeli warplanes raided three times today on the same area: the first time they fired two missiles on a Mercedes car traveling along the coastal road between Deir al-Balah and Zawaida towns and its passengers were able to escape peacefully.
Few minuets later, the warplanes targeted a group of citizens were crowded near the damaged car, killing Wa'el Nassar 28, and wounding four others, two were reported seriously.
As paramedics and ambulances rushed to the scene to vacate the wounded, the Israeli warplanes appeared and fired, for the third time, a missile on an empty Peugeot car parking on the road, damaging and setting fire on it.
The Israeli occupation army has stepped up its assassination policy, taking advantage of the absence of international protests. The Israeli occupation army claimed the attacks were aimed at a resistance cell which was on its way to "carrying out an attack on Jewish settlements in the area."
Sources close to the Islamic Jihad organization, while admitting that the two were affiliated with the group, dismissed the Israeli narrative as "pure disinformation." "Whenever they murder somebody here, they claim that they were going to fire missiles on Zionist targets," an Islamic Jihad official in Gaza said.
The Islamic Jihad said it would avenge the killings very soon. "They (Israel) experienced us in Tel Aviv recently. They know that we fulfill our vows when we make one, and we vow to hit them and hurt them."
This comes as the Israeli occupation forces today launched a campaign of arrest in different cities in the West Bank where at least thirteen citizens were arrested in the village of al-Yamoon near Jenin, north of WB, 8 arrested in Nablus, four Palestinians also from the village of Beit Eba and Balata Refugee Camp, four others were arrested in the village of Asira, two citizens in the southern part of Hebron, and Israeli troops searched tens of houses destroyed several historical cottages, and one Palestinian was arrested in in Bethlehem.
Israeli Occupation Authorities handed on Thursday farmers and shepherds warrants to demolish their tents in the south of the West Bank (WB) City of Hebron. Farmers, living in Wadi al-Rakheem area, east of Yatta town, told WAFA that Israeli military administration handed them orders for demolishing their shelters and seizing lands under pretext of security reasons. "Such an Israeli plan aims at wiping us from our lands to expand the near- by Jewish colonies," farmer Moussa Shannar said.
