Zawahiri tape intent to show failed US attack
The US State Department announced it is analyzing the video tape broadcast by al-Jazeera satellite TV on Monday for the second ranking man in al-Qaida organization Ayman al-Zawahri to make sure it is authentic.
The spokesman for the US State Department Adam Ereli underlined the importance of al-Zawahiri appearance for the second time since the beginning of this month, stressing the continued American war against what is called terrorism. He said in statements that what so ever the situation of al-Zawahiri, "al-Qaida is still intent to destroy peace and kill the innocents."
Another American official asked to be anonymous said that the tape is authentic, for al-Zawahari. The American official said that this intent of the video tape was to confirm that the US attack targeting Zawahiri failed, an attack launched by the US and targeted Daam Doula village in the tribal Bajour area in Pakistan on January 13th.
In his video tape broadcast on Monday, the second man in al-Qaida organization Ayman al-Zawahiri referred to what he called the "Butcher" in remarks to the American President George W. Bush, describing him that he is not only a liar, rather bringing in catastrophes for his people also and that no other force (except that of the God) can bring in Zawahiri fate ( death), just for one second, and that an evidence to that that President Bush tried to kill him in Qarqiz village in Pakistan and did not succeed and also he was not killed in Toura Boura despite the "seven tons bombs."
He also criticized the American response to the truce initiative he had proposed to the leader of al-Qaida organization Osama Bin Laden two weeks before and rejected by Washington. He accused Bush that he and his "gang put the Americans in a conflict they do not accept with Muslims and draws the future of the Americans with blood despite the honorary outlet proposed by Osama Bin Laden for them."
Observers consider that the repeated appearance for Zawahiri ensure that he enjoys a security protection at the highest level defying the American chase.
