One Israeli settler was killed near Hebron, south of the West Bank, after Palestinian gunmen opened fire at him from a speedy car.

The Israeli army said that the settler died a short time after he was admitted to hospital following the attack which took place near Beit Haghai settlement south of Hebron. The Israeli occupation army explained that two other settlers were injured in the attack.

This attack came after the commitment made by the Palestinian groups to retaliate the assassination of four Palestinians from the People's Resistance Committees during an air attack carried out by Israeli warplanes against Gaza on Wednesday.
