Israeli forces attack Palestinian prisoners in Ofer jail
The Palestine Islamic resistance, Hamas, deplored in a statement the Israeli attack on the Palestinian prisoners in Ofer jail near Ramullah in the West Bank.
Scores of Palestinian prisoners were reported as having suffocated, when the Israeli occupation forces broke into the camps of detention centers and opened tear gas and rubber bullets against them.
The prisoners refused to hand over their colleagues of members of the People's Front including the front's deputy chairman Abdul Rahim Mallouh. This was because Israel wants to disperse them and to hold them separate by transferring them to the central jails. Mallouh was admitted to an Israeli hospital as he had fractures in his jaw.
Hamas said it holds Israel responsible for any harm inflected on the prisoners, and called on the Palestinian authority to move in order to release the detainees and prevent harming them once again.
