Lucien Bitterlain expresses French solidarity with Syria
Chairman of the Syrian-French Friendship Association expressed Wednesday French people's solidarity and support to Syria in facing the pressure she has been undergoing.
"We are standing side by side with Syria and struggling to realize peace and justice in the Middle East aiming to liberate the occupied Syrian Golan as well as all occupied Arab lands," Chairman Lucien Bitterlain stressed in a statement today.
Bitterlain appreciated Syria's role in preserving Lebanon's unity and stability, expressing total solidarity with Syria who sacrificed 12,000 martyrs between years 1975 and 1990 to protect Lebanon.
"General Charles Digol had stressed the distinguished ties that connected Syria and France, and considered their bilateral relations as main points in his foreign policy," he noted.
