Saddam Hussein interrogate on events against Shiites and Kurds

Originally published

The Iraqi special criminal court in charge of trying the Iraqi former President Saddam Hussein published his pictures being interrogated over accusations addressed to him relating to oppressing what the court called the Shiite and Kurdish Intifada of 1991.

The court said that the pictures were taken during a session of interrogation in Baghdad on Thursday.

Saddam was officially accused of killing Iraqi citizens in al-Dajil village in 1982. However, no date for his trial has been set, but observers expect it to start in September.
